Karen’s new job

Last Thursday 24th October we heard that Karen had been successful in securing a new job. After an initial reaction of ‘OH NO’ from some of us that were hoping to have her guide us in some new projects, we were of course delighted for her and wish her all the very best. Avril  

Lots of laughs

One inch patchwork

We had a lovely laughter filled morning at Chalford today. The sun beamed through the windows on our industrious group and lots of stitching was done. Janet kept us amused with her trial of left-handed crochet; Jean brought her new project, a patchwork piecing handbag in soft shades of teal and russet velvet; and Kath almost completed her knitted socks in “wicked wool”. Refuge Quilts

The next day for making quilts, blankets etc for the refuge is Nov 6th. We are meeting at Chalford Village Hall, any time from 10 to 4. Anyone is welcome to come and join in, whether or not you are a member of Chalford Stitchers. You can bring your own project to work on. Our Fourth Quilt Show

Chalford Stitchers - Quilt

Last month we had our fourth Quilt Show in aid of Stroud Women’s Refuge at Beresford House, which offers help, advice and support to families affected by domestic abuse. The show took place in the same village hall where the group meets to sew.
