Easter News

We had a productive monthly Wednesday making wonky houses recently. I’m annoyed I don’t have any photos of the blocks we made. We can keep making these blocks, cut to 12 ½ inches square, and will then make them up into as many quilts as we can. So keep stitching, folks. Next Refuge day, Wednesday March 16th

Refuge day, Wednesday March 16th 11am to 3pm We are planning a group quilt [or quilts] made of crazy house blocks which we can sell/raffle at the autumn show. On Wednesday Judith is going to show us how to make the blocks. Money, money

Chalford’s Jumble Sale today has made £352.74 so far. There is a bit more to come in from selling unwanted textiles, plus we have some boxes of the best leftovers for the shop. Success. Thanks to all who helped, or spent their money there. It was lots of hard work, but we have enabled other Stroud folk to help the refugees in Calais, Dunkirk and beyond.
