A New Life for the Unfinished

Yesterday about 20 Unfinished items appeared at our stitching session and about 15 of those found new homes. We have until November to finish them – I have put details of the exhibition where we will display them on the Upcoming Events page. Tracing the Blueprint

Last week I went to the current museum at Stroud Museum in the Park, called Tracing the Blueprint. It is on until Sunday 30 March and definitely worth a visit. It is all about ‘Blaudruck’, the resist printed indigo fabric of Central and Eastern Europe. The cloth is still printed in Hungary, and has also made its way via trade, settlers and the Manchester printers, to Southern Africa, where it is popular.
