Our next exhibition is on May 6th and 7th. We already have quite a lot of bags and cushions and other small items to sell – but more is good. We also have quite a number of quilts to show [and donate to the refuge] or to show and bring home again. But, again, more would be welcome. If you need fabric or a backing, you can always look in our stash in the attic at the village hall.
If you are doing a small A5 embroidery/piece of knitting/patchwork/whatever to decorate the hall, it may help you to know that A5 is 5.8 x 8.3 inches or 148 x 210 mm. This needs to be landscape in orientation, ie go sideways not up-and-down. The theme is Stroud district. And we have decided that any that are finished by May can get exhibited, and it would be quite nice to show some half-done ones and explain it is work in progress so that visitors can see that the creative process is not a neat and tidy one.
And if you are interested in the dyeing sessions at Fran’s house [natural dyes, made with leaves etc] they are on the afternoons of April 27th and May 25th. Who will come to which session is to be decided, as are other details!
