Today at stitching we agreed June 4th as a probable date for the trip to Monmouth to visit fabric shops, and maybe the museum. Judith’s husband will book us a 16-seater coach/minibus and drive it, which is very kind of him. The cost of the trip is not knowable yet as it will depend on the coach hire charge.
We also agreed to buy fair trade teas and coffees for our elevenses break – something we usually do for teas at the exhibition too.
Can I remind you that some of our members are very sensitive to the chemicals in modern body and hair care products. They appreciate your efforts to avoid using these on stitching days.
The exhibition organising steering group [Fran, Kath and Stella] visited the church today to see the facilities. The churchwarden has no objection to us running tombolas and raffles in the church, if that is where we decide to place them. And there are plenty of tables, just like the ones in the village hall, which will be very useful for display purposes. Plus the environment is very beautiful, and worth viewing by visitors in its own right – quite apart from our quilts.
